Taboo

Well I got a book I have been waiting to read for years. Taboo : Why Black Athletes Dominate Sports and Why We’re Afraid to Talk About It by John Entiene.
The book is not really all that exciting, much of the information is stuff that I have already read. But I am only 1/3rd [...]

Spring Classes

Well it looks real good for Spring quarter. I was worried about getting my WSU classes to be in consecutive days so I didn’t have to drive back and forth from Columbus. Well my ED 301 and 303 classes are offered Wednesday and Thursday night from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. My ED 221 and 223 – [...]

ENG 303 Writing Assingment CH 66

We were supposed to write a 50-100 word piece only using words with one syllable. This was actually a very worthwhile challenge. It made me think a lot about the words I use.

The objective was to write a story about a person in the past and project what they will be in the future.
Chapter 14: People from the Past: Characters of the Future
JimBob he always called me. Not JimRod as my middle name would imply, no, JimBob. His fake southern drawl intoned every syllable. Making [...]

ENG 303 Writing Assignment #1

I figure since I am taking a few writing courses this quarter I would share my work. Here is the first.

Why are you taking a fiction writing class and what do you hope to learn from it?
There was this real callous mother fucker. Dude was always uptight. Couldn’t sleep couldn’t relax couldn’t express a [...]

Semantics

The question is what does equivalent mean in this sentence.
When registering for ED 221 and ED 223 in the same term you will be required to participate at your Phase I practicum site the equivalent of five half days per week (preferably mornings if your schedule permits), averaging 20 hours per week, giving you a [...]

I Did It!

I got a 188 out of 200 on the Praxis Test. I needed a 157 to pass. So now I can officially be a teacher. Hopefully I can get into the student teaching spring quarter. Then the Masters program at OSU in fall.
Now I have to decide if I am moving to Columbus now or [...]
